Shri Sheth Murlidharji Mansingka College of Arts, Science & Commerce is
affilated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. It is granted by University
Grants Commision (UGC) & Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation
Council (NAAC).
SSMM College was established in 1970 by the erstwhile Pachora Taluka
Co-operative Education Society as Pachora's first college. SSMM has emerged
as one of the premier college of Arts, Science & Commerce in North
Maharashtra.SSMM College has 38 years of history as the flagship of higher
education in Khandesh. SSMM plays a vital role across the entire spectrum of
Khandesh Education System.
The College offers a three tier package, beginning with the Junior college that
caters to students passing out from school. Comprehensive courses are offered
in both Arts and Science streams, preparing students to launch out into
professional courses or else continue on towards graduate studies in the Senior
College.
At the Senior college, students can work towards a Bachelor's of Arts degree in a
range of subjects spanning Languages, Social Sciences, Humanities or a
Bachelor of Science degree in any one of the traditional Natural Sciences like
Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
Post-Graduate degree courses are also offered in the Arts stream. Some Arts
subjects offer facilities for Doctoral Research as well.
A sprawling 15 acre campus, in the heart of the city, provides space for
residential facilities, sports, games and cultural facilities, which contribute to the
well rounded development of a more than 5000 strong student population. |
